Just in case anyone was wondering what happened to this poor fella xD
The anime is Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica & the carachters are Akemi Homura & the poor lil guy is Kyuubee.
The gun is a badly scaled Belgian made FN Minimi M-249 SAW
Speaking about the scale, I think they just like to scale weapons down to a somewhat manageable looking size ... a M249 saw is ******* huge compared to a skinny teenage girl.

Well if you look at the link in the description you will see that its one hell of a powerful airsoft gun 0.0 xD

@Kyou: because two things:
1. this anime ruins magical girl genre like how Evangelion did to mecha genre.
2. that fukken KYUBEE!
An FN Minimi isn't quite the same as a M249 SAW. The US made some modifications of their own, including the the heat shield above the barrel.
It's bad that i saw this image, read the OP's description, and immediately made a nit-picky post about how a Minimi is different to a M249, isn't it?
I think i have a problem, one which i believe should be solved with more anime.
But they are both the same gun the US version just has a heat shield added for US standards & both share the same parts & function the same way.
The only difference is that Belgian soldiers arnt idiots & they know better than to touch the used barrel of any kind of MG therefore they don't need a heat shield xD.
But in all seriousness they are both technically the same guns with different names for different countries.
