These were actually based on German jet powered prototype flying disks & this project was worked on by one of those Germans thanks to Operation Paperclip. Just an FYI
um this was built by the canadian company A.V.Roe Canada under contract from the US government they went 10 million into production and then cancelled just as the company reported a breakthrough
Canadian & US joint project but it used German scientists & designers for their experience. Remember Operation Paper Clip is when the US took in German scientists & Nazis & gave them US citizenship in exchange for their services.
