No, there's no American equivalent to this plane. It's huge and carries up to 88,000+ pounds of ordnance, including conventional and nuclear bombs and cruise missiles. That's 18,000 more pounds of ordnance than the latest B-52 Stratofortress can carry. It's not based on/copied from the B-1, and is in fact MUCH larger than the B-1. This design type originated from the 70's, when large, heavily-armed, and swing-wing planes had been the design style. MiG-23, F-14, Tu-22, F-111, etc.
It's a much better plane than B-1, B-52, B-2 or any other American bomber. I heard even Americans themselves agree to that. Just watch some of the videos on youtube and read the comments, many Americans say it's the best bomber in the world.
It's much stealthier than the B1-B. Because the Tu-160 front is more stealthy than the B-1B front, even though the Tu-160 is much bigger. It has something to do with the nose. And then, it's also twice as fast. 2,220 km/h HOLY ****. It's a ******* bomber yet so fast as a fighter plane! It's also the biggest bomber in the world. Not to forget the best looking one. It would be nice to own a few of them. I wish my country had this kick-*** bomber too would be amazing! Oh well, too bad we don't.
