F-35 is Not truly Stealth and it is Miniscule in that capability. Oh and Can be Detected By the Passive Doppler Radar on EVERY Next Gen 4 + fighter in the Russian Air Force. Oh and The Rafale.
The F-35s Performance at max Payload sucks.
The F-35 Can be defeated in a of Fight By the F-18.
The F/A-18 is capable of electronic Warfare.
The F/A-18 doesn't have to worry about it's Crappy electronics being fried when it gets Hit by Lightning or an enemy Counter measure.
The F-35 costs a lot more and is Inferior in it's mission compared to the three Jets it is meant to replace. ((The Fourth is already retired))
Should have Stuck with the F-22, F/A 18 Super Hornet, the Harrier program, and ASF-14 Tomcat ((Modern F-14 Tomcat besides looks, wasn't even remotely the same as the other Tomcats we know and love))
It's money people! It's just about the money! Does Lockheed care about anything? Do they seriously want to make it perfect? NO - like the article rkraptor70 posted said: "condemned the manufacturer for “trying to squeeze every nickel” out of the Department of Defense."
They just want the money. It's not about air superiority. USA doesn't have to fear any real air combats anyways so Lockheed can go away with it and produce crappy and costly planes.
Upgrading F-18s or F-22s and all the others is simply not worth it. They gain a lot more profit in producing new planes and they got the US gov by the balls because they are a powerfull and rich company.

Actually this one IS "stealthy". It's the naval counterpart of Silent Eagle.
