Would be an interesting experiment, that's for sure.
For Sure.
Always loved the F-4
Now this, I like. Oh, and the original Phantom is better than the F-35. For one, it can sustain a higher G-limit.
Phantom is like the Mig-29 you can keep upgrading it forever and it will still manage to do it's job quite well.
PS. Sadly this is also a Frankenplane.
Indeed, that's why I said "the original Phantom." Frankenplane or not, It would still beat the F-35 at virtually everything. The only thing the F-35 beats the Phantom on, is going ridiculously over budget.
