For someone who was neutral, they sure did seem pretty geared up to fighting the Soviets..

ofcourse we would use it to nuke whoever violated our neutrality. (most propabably them danes) :p

and no CommanderDef, there was just a strong anti nuke movement around the globe, including in sweden, and during the development most countries signed a treaty to stop nuklear weapons to spread.

imagine neutral country with nuke... this weapon could be pretext to invasion, maybe this is the reason why they stop it

Aw, I wonder what name they would given it if they continued with it. I love swedish aircraft names scince they are often filled with puns.

Description

From wikipedia:

The Saab 36 (also known as Projekt 1300) was a supersonic bomber planned by Saab during the 1950s. The aircraft was supposed to be able to carry an 800 kg free falling nuclear weapon, but when the Swedish nuclear weapon program was stopped in the 1960s, so did the plans for the plane. The Saab 36 was intended to be fitted with delta wings and this idea was also used on the Saab 35 Draken fighter. The engine that was planned to be used was a version of the British Bristol Olympus turbojet, the same engine that powered the Avro Vulcan jet bomber.
