Relics of the Galactic Civil War: The forgotten Veterans image - Aircraft Lovers Group

With the defeat of the Emperor at Endor and the subsequent fragmentation of the Empire, the Rebel Alliance was quick to reestablish itself as the New Republic and take over the role of the Empire as the major galactic power. With their new role as the main power in the known universe, they utilized their new resources to update their weapons and equipment with newer, more capable ones. However this meant the old machines of the Rebellion, veteran of many battles were no longer needed. These now forgotten and somewhat obsolete veterans now find new life in their other roles such in serving in Small Planetary Defenses forces or as monument of the struggle during the war that ravaged countless star system and claimed untold lives. Others however, were simply cast always in and carelessly stored in poor condition. Today we will take a look at some of these old fighters of freedom and how they are coping with their current life.
