Description
His nickname was Popeye, as you can probably guess.
Flew many successful missions over Germany, both in Wellingtons and later Mozzies, earning the DFC and Bar, sometimes returning on just the one engine. Was posted to the Pacific flying logistics for RNZAF in 1943.
