Iran is building a 1/3rd replica of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier to use in a movie called "Airbus", which narrates the story of the ill-fated Iran Air Flight 655.
What is interesting about this simple prop is the attention it's getting. More than one news site claimed it's actually built for military propose, primarily to serve as a simulation target. A few went as far as claiming that Iran is building this to gain experience about carrier building.
Whoever producing this movie, probably never anticipated they will get this kind of publicity.

Why the **** does everyone hate Iran? They haven't invaded any country for over 200 years?
Yet along comes America and I dont need to explain the rest of the situation for you, because it's been a situation ever since 1945.
Because Big "FREEDAAAMM" Brother told them to.

Sadly, that whole Argo incident can pretty much be tracked right back on top of your guy's heads.
Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (very cool guy) started getting a little to cosy with the Russians following the Atoms for Peace program started by President Eisenhower during the (1950s?). After the US had funded and helped out in creating an alternative source of energy to oil with the building of several nuclear energy sites for Iran, the Shah started getting friendly with the Soviets, who also offered help with Iran's nuclear program. This made 'Murica very agro and they promptly chopped off most of the Shah's carefully planned trade agreements, educational resources, and diplomatic benefits with the West.
The Shah was already fighting hard to keep the Muslim community at bay (he was quite a liberal fella), and with these benefits suddenly destroyed the country started plummeting into discontent. The Ayatollah of the time saw his chance and got the Muslim community to have their Shah exiled. And that was that. Then you have the Argo incident, and the continued help from the Russians with building the Bushehr I reactor. And I'm a little fuzzy as to what is going on now. I think they are at least one of the far more stable regions of the MidEast for the time being.
I know. The more I've looked at Iran the less I think that there is any reason to hate them. They do have a few lunatic fringe members in the government, but in saying that, who doesn't?
Yeah.. good point there.. but still Both sides are at fault.. Even When they stormed the US Embassy.. Which they should have just let them pull out Or made them get out. US Citizens should have never started attacking Iranian Nationals that were in the US.. They had nothing to do with what was going on in there own country.. but People are dumb.. All in all.. **** happens.. people hold Grudges.. Still.. let them build an Aircraft Carrier.. Only Several ways they can build it.. Looking like eather a Russian Carrier, British Carrier, Japanese Carrier, Or an American Carrier.
