I also heard that the germans had at least prototypes of stealth airplanes. or maybe they even invented them. they were made out of wood. they didn't fly but the technology was being used.
at least its what i remember i am not sure about it. anyone here who knows more?
they actually did fly. unfortunatley the test pilot crashed the only workin prototype. the nazis were already drawing up plans for a bigger one that would be able to reach the united states from germany, essentially inventing the B2 stealth bomber with it's 'flying wing' design almost 50 years earlier.
for a bunch of psychotic faciast they were incredibly advanced for their time. do you think maybe the aliens helped them the same way they helped the egyptians build the pyramids? :P what if they were supposed to win!? :S (que ANOTHER game release depicting an alternate WWII reality)
the most powerful in the ww2 indeed, but the p-51 mustang made short work out of this thing. it had an advantage when it comes to speed, since it is the fastest ww2 fighter.. but it was easily visible from a distance.
it was too fast to be tracked by enemy fighters... it was the ultimate fighter during WWII, there was nothing like it, except the Nakajima Kikka, a smaller version but as fast as the Me262, created with german tech sent with a submarine.
Yeah, I'm real tired of this glourifing of american stuff >:(
The Me 262 was one of the most advanced fighter of WW2 like GriffinZ said it was fast like hell, very hard to track.
Because of it's speed most Allied pilots would attempt to shoot them down when they were talking off or landing because that's when they slowed down which is not really on even grounds.
In an equal ground aerial dogfight with pilots of the same skill level more than half of the time the P-51 would been the one that would have been made short work of.
