It may be old but like the venerable T-34 it still kicks ***. & its one of the best helis of its time not the worst. If upgraded it can still go toe to toe with modern attack helis like the AH-1 Apache or KA50 for examples.
It certainly can't. It's known for its low maneuverability, very big engine heat and for chopping off it's own back rotor in a-stan. And I heard rumors that it completely fails at night ops, not sure why, proly old tech. It certainly can't go on par with Apache, Ah1 or Ka50, they are all supreme in any way possible except that this can carry troops.
Yes, it's big and low maneuvering, but it can carry massive load of weapons and few paratroopers together. It can still wreck tanks and armored vehicles with ease and that was primary targets for Mi24, not heli to heli fight. Of course, Apache or Ka50 are champions in heli to heli fight, but they can't carry troopers, have less fuel and weaker armor
My coutry still using Mi24 as main battle helicopter and it's not good only in military operations, it helps even in case of natural disaster etc.
It is good all around, but can't be compared to any of the listed above in combat stats. It's way too old anyway, them Russians could think up of a new, similiar but modern design.
this helicopter is got some specific use in battlefield
as americans still using some old weapons and vehicals in thier army by special purpese too
it is support-multitask helicopter
for attack we ka-50 ka-52(command support) mi-28
We swedes even don't have attack hellicopters (the socialists cuts in the army budget every year) though we have around 200 Leopard tanks. Kinda useless without airsupport I say :/

It kicks ***, I've tried it in the new Call of Duty game and in Apache Air Assault for pc
how can you write something about it when you know it only from game???
because its pretty cool!! ;)
looks so aligatorious :D Mrrrr xDD
I'd sure as hell be happy to see these flying in the RAF at least then we wouldn't have to worry about the Taliban shooting at pilots in the field.

Mil Mi-24 Hind, best tool to make enemy combatants into mince meat.
