From this angle, it kind of looks like that Lockheed turkey-that-will-not-be-named.

Perhaps because of that turkey-that-will-not-be-named I doubt anything designated JSF will amount to anything.

The MDD JSF was to be aerodynamically unstable and it would have been controlled via thrust vectoring.
The plane was rejected for being "too complex". Which is American Airforce General speak for I don't understand any of this and would rather give a nice payout to my contractor buddies instead.
