A decade worth of study, preparation, and finally this. With two carrier under construction and plans for 3 more well underway, China is truly on the path to become the new ruler of the waves.
All that's left is for the US to realise that they no longer hold the Pacific. And they're still pushing for us to let them park their bases on our wonderful little NZ. *facepalm*
A single carrier test means that the U.S no longer holds the pacific? Seriously? Unless the U.S suffers major budget cuts, I don't think PLAN won't control the Pacific anytime soon
Seeing how American politicians are, they'd probably cut education before giving less money to their 'precious' defence contractors, so the American carriers aren't going anywhere
Unfortunately its a sad truth the US has become so corrupted that its global empire is in a slow decaying death spiral much like that of ancient Rome :/
Makes me miss the good old days when Americas leaders, the real leaders behind the shadows at least knew what the **** they were doing -_- Too many of these dammed right wing lunatics with too much money from mommy and daddy ******* decades of work up in my opinion >>
As rkraptor said, their declining economy will simply not support a two headed navy. Besides, do you know how often we pick up Chinese subs buzzing around our Antartic regions? Trust me, on the surface the US may look in control, but in reality they are facing a pretty grim future in the Pacific.
Seeing the scale of military exercises such as RIMPAC, I doubt the Chinese Navy will overtake the U.S Navy and their Korean and Japanese allies in the Pacific.
The U.S Navy has 11 Carriers, plus 1 in reserve, plus many years of experience with carrier operations, the Chinese have 1, and their still on the way to get it fully operational. The U.S Navy won't go easily
What part of economic decline you don't understand? That means US will eventually have to decommission a good number of their carrier from service soon while China is going to built 5 more of the by 2020.
As for experience China been studying and preparing themselves for carrier operation since 1985. They had bough 3 old-aircraft carriers to make themselves better prepared. They are pretty much in par with US navy when it's come to carrier building and operations only thing they lack is combat experience.
Even if 3 or 4 of the Supercarriers are decommisioned very early, there will still be a good number of Gerald R. Ford carriers and Nimitz-class in the near future to give the planned PLAN carriers a run for their money. And thinking that 7 or 8 of the U.S carriers will be scrapped is pretty much a worst case scenario.
They clearly aren't on par with U.S Naval carrier operations and building, they didn't even build this carrier fully themselves, and as the picture shows, are still very new to carrier operations
The fact of the matter is that the US is going through a military withdrawal due to their stagnant economy, where as China is on a fresh road too superpower stardom, its only a matter of time before their 9,000,000 strong armed forces are equipped with further technological benefits, e.g. carriers. Besides the US might just end up giving away some of their carriers to China to pay off the massive debt they owe them, I'm kidding of course. I might sound like I'm being a bit anti-American but I'm really only stating the facts. I have no anti-US sentiments on any large scale and I'm certainly not biased towards the Chinese. So there you go, facts are facts. Take em or leave em.
I don't see any U.S withdrawal from anywhere so far, seeing how their focus is in the Middle East right now rather than in the Pacific.
From what I see, the American Politicians are too in love with Defence Contractors to sacrifice their military, seeing how the U.S Military budget is higher than it was during the peak of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Ummm... Question
Why isn't it a Naval J-20 or J-31? Why is it someone else's design? a Naval J-20 would be boss.
The J-31 prototype has a arrestor gear/hook. They will probably field them with their newer, indigenous-built ships.

Given the way US economy is declining, a major military budget cut is inevitable.
Seeing how American politicians are, they'd probably cut education before giving less money to their 'precious' defence contractors, so the American carriers aren't going anywhere
They've been doing that a while now, and if they continue to do that, their economy will crumble like a card house.
Unfortunately its a sad truth the US has become so corrupted that its global empire is in a slow decaying death spiral much like that of ancient Rome :/

but USA could sold some of their aircraft carrier to other OTAN country or even to the OTAN having diferent countrys operating it

You are all missing my point. That's a Russian Made carrier, with Russian designed Flankers.
China, make your own stuff, then you get the baddass badge.
