It's a 'sim-lite' some people said, while it's still a sim you can tone down the realism level to the bottom that it almost felt like playing Ace Combat (except that you still have realistic weapon loadout and realistic survivability).
Default planeset are mostly '70s and no playable Eastern planes; Super Sabres, 'Nam era planes, only one playable F-16 (Israeli Baz), A-10, F-8 Crusader, some F-104s and the latest DLC makes F-14A playable. The rest are pretty much mods, but there are literally thousands of them flying around the 'net but most of them are difficult to track (aside those CombatAce mods). Some worth getting DLCs including a custom campaign (*that* delicious mercenary campaign) and a simple mission editor. Also mandatory:
For those who praise the GLORIOUS DCS MASTER RACE™ this so-called 'sim-lite' might be a little underwhelming, but IMHO it's the most accessible military flight sim yet (I might say this deserves to be a spiritual successor of the old Jane's ATF series)
The game worth trying there are many MANY mods in order to make playable IMO without mods the game is unplayable for me ,check out CombatAce but there are download limits for those who register without paying or for free -_- , in terms of realism , well as they said you can tone the realism of this game for your tastes, however even with the most difficult settings the game can still can not be compared to LOMAC or DCS or even IL-2 when it comes to prop planes ,but the game's still worth getting unless if you were "sim addicted",IMO if you play IL-2 then this game might just be acceptable. Nevertheless if you get it MAKE sure that you mod it REALLY.there positive things about this game in terms of modding IT IS WAY MUCH easier to mod you don't have to worry about the game crashing or anything =D
I'm more of a hard core Simmer TBH, although if the Flight Dynamics and performances of the Aircraft are realistic I don't mind that. I'll think about checking it out this week :3
Uhm... What game it is?
Strike fighters 2 with The Scandinavian Front mod plus Lindr's amazing MiG-23 pack
Thanx
Hey Flogger I have heard mixed things about this game so what is your opinion of it?
Is it like an arcade game like Ace combat? Or more like F-16, Mi24, or A-10 and Hyper realistic. I Hear it was more..Arcade type.
Thanks :3

Ah ok Thanks both of you.
