Description
Now retired from service because they didn't need it. The F-22 Raptor was sufficient.
Why did they retire it?
It's awesome,it's good,it's black!

Because Serbian army cut their wings with old Neva missiles like nothing... It does look cool, but why would someone buy it if its useless? ;)

But they should have kept it just because it looks awesome! :D
Actually one of the real reason it was retired was dumb congress a group of mostly civilians wuss decided to cut the military budget a bit.
And that it was the first of its technology and its somewhat outdated and expensive to maintain.
But its still not useless as you portrait it.
As for the record only one F117 was ever shot down so its pretty effective.
Don't accuse me now of being a US fan boy as I speak fact rather than Anti-whatever country like some people.

Since it was one of the beginning of Stealth technology its a little bit outdated when compared to more modern stealth tech.
Also being beginning tech its somewhat expensive to maintain.
But still the aircraft is pretty effective, just because one was shot down doesn't mean its entirely useless, & just as anything man makes it can be destroyed.
I mostly agree with you. When I said useless, I didn't mean it was bad aircraft, only that it could be a waste of money, compared to F-15, 16, 18, A-10 which could do the job better.
And yeah, only one was shot down and another damaged. IDK if they still used it during the bombardment, since before that, it was flying in only one direction, so the defense was settled up there.
+ I agree I underestimated it, since it was first type of stealth aircraft.
And no, I'll never call you like that, I always respect what you say ;)
The U.S.'s military strength and pride is dieing with our economy. :/
there was a special squadron that had better stealth capibiblities, their F-117's were grey, they nicknamed the squadron the grey dragons
