This group is open to everyone who likes any kind of aircraft
This was the first United States aircraft to have intercontinental range AND to be specifically designed for the express purpose of dropping nuclear bombs. It Is powered by 4 jet engines and, interestingly, 6 rearward facing prop engines. It was phased out of service after only 10 years, however, in favor of strictly jet engine bombers such as the B-52, which could hold more than a single bomb. The B-36 never dropped a bomb on a military target, had some problems such as metal fatigue due to high speeds and fuel leakage because of wing flexing.
wait, nuclear bombs? i thought US don't use those weapons.
muhahahahahaha usa send 700! nuclear bombs at atmosphere when they was testing it, then all radioactive **** falls down and people start to have cancer of lungs, and what american government do ? they say to all people that reason is cigarettes, ITS A LIE! and thats why my dad still lives :D dont forget that before 50s there was no problem with cigarettes, but before 50s testing nuclear bombs was cursory and dont forget 700!
****!! 700 bombs?! that's impossible!!!!!!!
yeah that was in circa 50s, today USA have nuclear score over 1000 tests (with other countries over 2000 nuclear bombs was tested), but over 1963 major part of nuclear bombs was tested underground so they was not dangerous... maybe :D
Its a cold war aircraft designed in alte 40's us used nukes in the cold war
Didn't use them, just had nuclear capabilities as a deterrent to the Soviets, who did the same to deter the Americans.
yeah but they was testing it too much, and that kill a lot of people
i was lucky enuf to have a family member serve on one of these during its last 6 months
