Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.
Just playing around with some new weapons me and jordan have been putting together;
Laser Cannon:
Requires a few seconds charging time.
When firing you can't stop and your direction is locked.
Can't pickup items or change weapon when firing either.
Most powerful weapon in the game.
Flare Gun:
Set fire to zombies from far away! Lowest tier of the "fire" weapons.
Spaz:
Fast firing shotgun with a large clip, but with low damage.
Love Cannon:
Not shown in this video (becuase you need multiple players).
Heals other players.
Im gonna love that medigun.
I like the spaz too but from here it looks a little bit op if you are high levelled.
It seems more overpowered than it actually is, especially given I have 100 points in damage in that video. It does considerably less damage than the normal shotguns (1-2damage per pellet, as opposed to 8+ for the others), the extra speed in firing roughly gives it the same DPS as the other shotguns.
