Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

Especially if you're hosting and want to buy or spend, having to quit out of the game is just a bummer for you and everyone playing with you.

You'll understand why you currently can't in a few patches time.

The aim further down the line is to have a persistent hub that all players join (mini-mmo lulz) when they start the game - using the shop/loadout/etc will be done through this by visiting different NPC's within it.

Also you can exit and rejoin the game :). Even if its hosted by you. The server will not shut down until its empty.

one of the main reasons we did it is to prevent people from standing there and dying while changing their loadout, plus you mainly only get new items outside of the game :P Chests are few and far between (there is 1 chest in an official map) so for the most part you aren't gonna need to be modding the loadout in-game.
