Zombie Grinder is the debut game of TwinDrills, an indie game development duo made up of Tim 'Infini' Leonard and Jordan 'Jordizzle' Chewning. It's a multi-platform (windows, mac, Linux!) (also Free!) cooperative multiplayer arcade game, reminiscent in style and gameplay of retro games like 'Zombies Ate My Neighbors' and 'Super Smash TV!', but with the added benefit of some newer game mechanics - achievements, ranking, player-customization, rpg style stats and so forth. The game sports a variety of different game modes, from co-operative 'campaign' style levels, to wave maps and even the classic 'pvp' style game modes - deathmatch, capture the 'bag' and so forth. All of these mods are bristling with a variety of weapons and items, all lovingly displayed in Jordan's classic quirky pixel-art style.

Could get an explanation on these variables.

game_width=320game_height=240game_quality=1.00000000smooth=1ignorecheck=0hertz=60
I was playing with game_height and game_width and they allow you to see more of the sereen, but whenever I change them I am unable to connect to my own locally hosted server.

If you don't know what it is, don't touch it lol, bes advice I can give.

game_width/game_height is the size of the actual game screen, this screen is then scaled up to fit the resolution specified by the user. You really should not touch either of these, they will royally screw up the game. I need to change them to internal I think.

Quality = same as quality slider in graphics menu, determines the amount of blood splats/gibs that can be active at any one time.

ignorecheck = Overrides the opengl version check the game does when it starts up. Will allow the game to run on lower-spec hardware but possibly crash or not work correctly.

hertz = refresh rate of the screen in fullscreen mode.

Ah, kk. And turns out one of my othe rprograms was interfeering with it, which is why I coulden't connect.

And the game looks fine at slightley higher resolutions. 640×240 looks good to me, but if you go to high (my laptop's max is 1366x768) THEN it gets odd.

Shouldn't be allowed to change that anyhow :3. Give an unfair advantage in game.

I could see how it could be taken advantage of, yeah.
You could always make a check in the server. People who dislike it could prevent ofters from using it, and people who don't mind could allow it.
