Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space is a hybrid science fiction space adventure and strategy game set in the plausibly implausible universe of Digital Eel's critically acclaimed computer game, Strange Adventures in Infinite Space (SAIS).
SAIS players will appreciate that the core gameplay elements remain essentially the same (intelligent random universe generation; one-click interface; turn-based movement; real-time starship combat; etc.), however, Weird Worlds is not simply a remake of SAIS. Noooo...
The universe of Strange Adventures in Infinite Space has expanded in both size and depth. Whereas the tag line for SAIS was "Explore the galaxy...in 20 minutes or less!", the Weird Worlds motto might be "Explore the galaxy...in 20 minutes or more!" Weird Worlds is bigger, prettier, more detailed, deadlier and completely extendable so modders can create their own strange adventures to share with friends and other Weird Worlds players.
With surprising new mysteries, threats, ship types, weapons, artifacts and lots of disgusting and inscrutable aliens, Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space will tempt and challenge gamers to explore ever further, take bolder and bolder risks and create their own legends of high adventure among the stars!

Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space, the original award-winning space science fiction roguelike-like, is back, shipshape and starbound with a spiffy new version 1.30 update and a new low price!
Weird Worlds is a hybrid roguelike game of space exploration, adventure and starship combat set within a peculiar region of the galaxy known as the Purple Void. Each time Weird Worlds is played, an instant space opera is generated, but unlike other games of its roguelike kind, it plays to its conclusion in less than thirty minutes.
With its combination of humor, roleplaying, adventure elements, non-linear exploration and starship battle tactics, Weird Worlds emphasizes variety, surprise and replayability. Features also include a unique turn-based based movement system, real-time starship combat, otherworldly sound and music, full color graphics and access to all starships in the game via a robust combat simulator.

First off, let me say that Indie developers are the foundation of all PC gaming. Even when there are giant like EA and Ubisoft around, they would be so giant if it weren't for the little guys. Graphics Weird Worlds uses a custom 2D overhead engine. While simplistically using sprites instead of the usual polygon, it maintains some level of eye candy to fill fans heart with joy. Sound The audio is not bad. Not good, but not bad. A little flat, kind of monotonous, but unless you are specifically listening…

Thanks!
This should be on sale until Jan 4.
What is going on?
A glitch caused the sale status to go away for a couple of hours. Sorry!
Is the game pulled from the service for some reason? I was hoping to buy it. :-( I've played Strange Adventures in Infinite Space before, and I wanted to try the sequel.
From the game's homepage (http://www.infinitespacegames.com):
"This initial, very special “pay what you want” offer* is available for four days (December 3 – December 6) and includes a massive Infinite Space game pack featuring fan favorite mods, all versions of the original Strange Adventures in Infinite Space game, the unsupported Weird Worlds for Mac (Pre-Lion OS X) game and lots more.
After the IGS sale, Weird Worlds will be immediately available from Desura and soon, Steam and other fine game portals, for a new low price of $9.99."
* = Available in IndieGameStand (https://indiegamestand.com) from Dec. 3 to Dec. 6.
Why can't I buy this?
$25 for a 7 year old game. You're out of your mind.
Having great fun so far! Fantastic little game, can i just ask what the simulation mode is?
I'm hoping it's basically the same thing without a time limit, that would be awesome!
Edit: ok so i should've played it properly first DUHHH, looks like it isn't, but could be fun none the less
Hi, not sure if you made the game but if you did very good work :-) I just wondered are there any mods you can recommend? or is there a location online where all (or alot) of mods are kept? thanks :-)
