Warfare Windows game

Maybe because the name is too ambiguous . . . Search "warfare" and mostly everything will be CoD or something.

Well, that's pretty true. Indeed, after downloading the full game, a major problem (I guess) is that the only game mode existent is the campaing / history mode. There is no skirmish mode! Now, that's a big problem, you know?

Well I HIGHLY doubt anyone would see this especially with it being 2019. BUT, should anyone see this.. I got into this game a whiiile back and ended up diving heavily in the files back in 2015 and started combining assets from the spin-off "Warfare: Reloaded" thus creating my own units, adjusting armor values, and a whole bunch of other values to try and make the game feel more "realistic" (For example, I really hated how weak the Humvees were). I also somehow unlocked the entire map so every mission is available and can be played as many times as one chooses while still holding onto the credits system. So it was essentially a skirmish game, where you could play a mission, get credits, and use those credits to get better units or replace units you lost. Believe it or not there was also a cheat system implemented through the console which could of been discovered if you typed "help" some way I found out how to add my own cheats and could spawn in nearly any unit I wanted. Anyways, enough rambling. Not sure if anyone still plays this game, but if by some strange miracle you do, and your looking for a mod (Since no one has ever really modded this game) feel free to contact me.. I suppose I can find a way to upload my files and have you take a look.

That´s very interesting. Thing is, I am a huge fan of modern war strategy games, but there is not much of them nowdays. I think the most famous, command & conquer generals/zero hour,is too outdated for various reasons and not far from being a realistic game. The other modern war games are no good enough (like Act of War) too repetitive (like Call to Arms) or need too much "micro-management" (like Call to Arms and Joint Task Force). I STILL didn´t played Warfare but it seems to not have any of those problems. But whithout a mod that brings someting like a skirmsh mode AND a multiplayer mode, I thing it would be unlikely to me to enjoy this game. Joint Task Force would remaining the best choice. You would like JTF too I guess. If we could make a mod Joint Task Force, it would be the best modern war strategy game, for sure. Unfortunately, I don´t know how to do it. Would need some help to make one.

Wow, wasn't expecting anyone to answer. But yes! I totally agree, there's not many "Good" modern RTS's outhere. The only "Good" one I would consider would be as you stated: Call to Arms but, I share your emotion as its too much micro-management. And I agree completely with JTF being a great RTS, atleast from what I've seen because I've never played it, I liked the "Squad-based" RTS better. However, with JTF being an older game it looks like the files may be easily accessible. However, if your still on the hunt I know two games that might satisfy your cravings, both of which are on Steam. Firstly, they actually came out with another Warfare, it's called "Syrian Warfare" they have a small modding community. And there's "World in Conflict" & "World in Conflict: Soviet Assault" it's set in the cold war era but the mod "World in Conflict: Modern Warfare Mod" greatly changes that. it can be located here: Moddb.com would highly recommend.

Syrian Warfare looks great, but it is based on a conflict going on right now. I think I don´t feel very well playng it (although I don´t criticize anyone who play it, obviously). World in Conflict: Modern Warfare Mod is great. But I played it for years. I was looking for a new one. But as I said: a modded Joint Task Force wold be the perfect game. I would play it for ever I think. The maps, the realism, the graphics, almost everything in this game is great. I just have to figure out how to access and modify the game files to make it better. I have some good ideas, you know. By the way, you should download the JTF demo and see yourself how amazing this game is to realistic modern war game fans. I want to check out this Warfare game. But I still think JTF is a more "complete" game and modding it would be the best choice.
