The World:

Around the year 5000+ BC. The cataclysmic world wide flood that caused the continental divides had not yet happened, and the continents are united as one, Pangea. The temperature of Pangea is mild and very hospitable lending to a flourishing humanity that spoke one language, allowing the rapid advancement of technology and megalithic cities. This humanity formed a global spanning civilization, however, extra dimensional beings known as the "water/amphibious spirits" have made themselves known to humanity, teaching humanity much new knowledge, technology and abominable practices. Secret cultic groups have risen deep within the elite of the global human civilization, the world of Pangea is undergoing a shift, and announcements of unsettling prophecies regarding apocalipsis sour the air of a once worriless world.




Gameplay:

The game currently features an overland map system that connects distinct scenes (locations) together. NPCs can travel in and out of locations through entry and exit points whether in a scene or in the world map. NPCs have jobs/schedules and personal motivations that determine where they will go and behave. (All of this has already been implemented by the time of the gameplay video, except the motivation system which is random chance in that video.) You are able to interact/talk with NPCs both inside a location and in the overland map, NPCs are also able to interact with each other in different ways, lending to a world that is both self-malleable and malleable to the player's choices.

  • Hybridized Text To Speech and Voice Acted voices for NPCs
  • Day and Night/Passage of time system
  • Sims-like features for NPCs, such as daily and weekly schedules, personal motivations, inventories, NPCs can travel from location to location across the World.

  • Basic Procedural Dialog for NPCs
  • Idle system that tracks how long you've been away since last play session (for calculating world changes and skill-farming in between gameplay sessions)
  • Randomly Generated Terrain for Wilderness scenes

  • Moddability (Make scenes, locations, characters, and dialogs)
  • Manual time skipping and having children
  • Advanced Dynamic-Procedural dialogue for NPCs (resembling more like a chat AI)
