Twin Soul

Twin Soul is a coop-survival horror. Game takes place somewhere in the Eastern Europe, in an enclosed and desolated city, where two players meet together to go through real atrocity exhibition. They'll have to face weird creatures and solve some twisted puzzles, otherwise they die. The project has strong vibes of Team Silent, Giger, David Lynch works. We are to do real psychological horror.

Twin Soul Teaser 2016

Hello all!

This is our first teaser of Twin Soul - game from Silent Hill: Alchemilla creators on Unreal Engine 4.

Gameplay: Coop survival horror. Players trying to survive against monsters, which can be killed or avoided. The main goal is not to kill a monster, cause they are really strong and can easily kill players even if they have guns and bullets. Each monster has their weak side. By learning monster`s behavior players can find how to act in each situation. Some monster can hear very well but barely see a thing in a meter. Other monster - can see very well, but hear almost nothing

Setting and Style: A big accent in the game focused on its atmosphere. We were inspired by games of Team Silent, art of Giger, David Lynch films. Players are placed in russian reality, post USSR times. Our protagonists are dead and they didnt get in Heaven or Hell, they are stuck in Purgatory. Their souls are trying to find the exit. Our heroes trying to find out why they are here, they traveling the world of fear and social problems.

Are you considering a Linux version? Or at least an Windows OpenGL build so that can be played with Wine ?

All screenshots taken directly from game engine. We didnt used anything except Unreal Lightmass Technology. Also, there are no scanned models. Everything were made by hand in 3d modeling and texturing software.
With this graphics we achieved you will have stable ~60 fps when the demo will be available. We trying to make first closed (just for stream audience) demo in about a year.

Hi, i got one question. Why u dont get on Kickstarter? they can help your project a lot

1) First of all we are based in Ukraine and Russia. Citizens of these countries can not withdraw money from Kickstarter.
2) To reach the Kickstarter need a lot of promotional material. That's a lot of work, we are currently better to concentrate efforts on the core gameplay.
3) For successful companies on Kickstarter need a large investment of money in the media and advertising, and we have no money.
4) Kickstarter is not a donation, it micro-investment for which you need something else to give. Most earned money will be spent on it. Again, a lot of wasted time and resources.
5) People trust to Kickstarter projects fell after a series of bad games or not issued. We did a little work and can not gain the trust of people.

It happens that the projects make money on Kickstarter but such a little. Kickstarter - it is primarily advertising platform. After all, if successful Kickstarter project falls instantly in news bulletins around the world. So we will sooner or later will appear on Kickstarter, but rather late, now it will only hinder the work.

In the above countries, ex post facto dictatorship. Kikstarter it's only a small part of the restrictions.
Of course, our fellow citizens are use Kickstarter money, but do it all via detours. Simply - illegally.
