Tribes 1.40.655 file

An early build of Tribes 1.40, aka PlayTribes, which includes a number of common user-made scripts such as HUDbot, ski script, mouse wheel weapon scroll, ect. Also includes working master server (if server doesn't load, press Cancel at the top then Refresh All at the bottom). Note: this is OpenGL ONLY. No software mode. You can play in both fullscreen and windowed mode.

Now, this is an early build, so there are bugs. The HUD is somewhat messed up but it's easily fixed by pressing J and rearranging things however you want. It's also prone to crashing, specifically when refreshing the server list. As far as I know this isn't fixable, so deal with it.

Tribes has about 100-150 players these days, a far cry to 10 years ago, but hey. At least people are playing. Every night you can get in a few good games of base or LT, averaging about 10-20 players per game, sometimes more. Mods such as Annihilation and Renegades are also still kicking, and are usually the most populated until base/LT regulars start playing.

InstantAction have said they plan to release the full version sometime in the future. If that happens, great. Awesome. But don't be surprised if this never happens.
