This game follows the story of what happens after the John Carpenter 1982 movie adaptation of the John W. Campbell JR Novel "Who Goes There?". The original game borrows heavily on the story from the 2002 video game and the current sequel expands further on the plot after Captain Blake defeats the Thing entity. After the death of Whitley and the destruction of Gen Inc property; Captain J.F.Blake boards a rescue plane and leaves Antarctica. Complications arise and the aircraft malfunctions and crashes. With no report from Blake the Alaska base sends in a new rescue team of which you the player take control. Your task is to find Captain Blake and escort him back to Alaska. However the thing entity did not die with Whitley on that day...

Description

Upcoming Enemy for untitled DLC fan fiction story set on a stranded research ship inspired by a recent news story. Theres a lot of influences for the Spectre with the main one being the Chinese Stealth Suit from Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage.

The Spectre is intended to be a recon/assassin unit which is deployed to assess a situation. They are nimble, being able to travel light and get to most locations heavier units can't reach. They usually carry light gear like SMG's and Incendiary Grenades. They review the situation and are responsible for tagging viral threats for hazmat units or if targeting a potential human threat to gen inc they will act on initiative. They often act in remote locations with little Intel or radio support. They have to make quick calls and remain undetected. Should they be caught in the field or killed there is nothing there for them to be traced back to Gen Inc or its affiliates. Gen Inc denies the Spectre unit even exists.

Stay tuned for more updates.
