This game follows the story of what happens after the John Carpenter 1982 movie adaptation of the John W. Campbell JR Novel "Who Goes There?". The original game borrows heavily on the story from the 2002 video game and the current sequel expands further on the plot after Captain Blake defeats the Thing entity. After the death of Whitley and the destruction of Gen Inc property; Captain J.F.Blake boards a rescue plane and leaves Antarctica. Complications arise and the aircraft malfunctions and crashes. With no report from Blake the Alaska base sends in a new rescue team of which you the player take control. Your task is to find Captain Blake and escort him back to Alaska. However the thing entity did not die with Whitley on that day...

Good game...

I hold no experience with the Thing Universe, but this game is a great game that is constantly being improved. Plus it's fun, however I recommend you see for yourself, as one cannot fully determine something's enjoy-ability from a reviewer. It does help though.

One of the best horror games of all times! For a 2d game, the game managed to capture the horror, story, and immersion elements that a lot AAA horror games don't.

i am working with him currently on making another game! his level of knowledge and dedication to his projects is outstanding! and he has done great work so far on The Thing 2!

Clearly worth to play. And even if game contains some too odd elements for Thingniverse (like katanas and stuff) it's still a cool game. Waiting for updates.

A Great Game!!!!
Great history, music and graphics.
Very entertaining, fun and addictive. I felt sad when I finish the game, we expect a continuation soon.
An honor and a privilege to take part in The Thing II rpg.
