The Contract is a Realism First-Person Shooter (RFPS) based on three core principles: stealth, survival and pure instincts. Players take the role of Sebastian Borg, a trainee assassin for a clandestine agency that focuses on the elimination of global threats and various other high-risk targets. In The Contract players are given mission freedom to complete objectives in a variety of ways. Furthermore, the game employs a number of measures to maintain real-life authenticity, such as limiting bullet-carrying capacity, providing situations to engage in melee combat, hiding and sneaking opportunities, the chance to use advantageous distractions, and of course moments to incite fear in order to accomplish certain tasks. The Contract will also offer multiplayer modes with dedicated servers consisting of player-slots starting at four, for intense, thrilling rounds of survival.

Its been a month since the creation of The Contract started, and today we can officially release our first version of Sebastian Borg, a Black-9 Contractor.

Our modeler Sherif has finished his first project, uploading his final screenshots today and allowing us to release it to you! Have a look...

Sebastian - Low Poly & Textured

You can view the larger version on our ModDB profile or The Contract website (www.thecontractgame.co.uk)

At this stage we would like to point out that our Dev Team is still recruiting! We currently require Programmers fluent in C++ / LUA; its very important we fill these positions to move forward with The Contract.

Also, we are looking for more level designers to add to our ranks -- in specific, people who can use the Sandbox for CryEngine 3.

All that aside, we just want to say thank you for all the views and tracks we have received so far. Don't forget to register on our website and get on the Community Forums!

All the best,

~The Contract Dev Team.

Hey, nice project, but I seriously IMHO see no reason to put an update each day (sometimes more). Don't take this as an offensive, I'm just saying that it might be better to hold off the news to you got a major one, and then put it all together in 1 big update. Only my 2 cents.

You'll still stay in the public even if you do a weekly update. If someone finds this project in a later progress, they'll see quite a bit of news, and might not have the time to read all of them. But thanks, and of course it all comes down on how you prefer to be doing it.
