After some down time, I've decided to dedicate a bit more time every week to development of this game and have re-activated the IndieDB page.

Tale of Echoes merely a side-project, so I won't have hours and hours to work on it, but I'll do my best to post at least an update per week. I'm focusing on the custom spell system at the moment, so I'll be explaining that and updating the page early next week.

Here's a quick recap of what the game is about.

JRPG-inspired "short story game". I know that kind of sounds like an oxymoron. I mean, JRPGs are known for their length campaigns, but the intention here is to tell a very small, focused story. It will be turn based and it have a deep combat system.

Outside of battle, there will be lots to customize. There is the aforementioned spell customization system, a multi-layered character growth system and item crafting.
