About working with statics in object format:
Importing the object file directly does not work because... Texture coordinates are not taken into account and the scan fails.
Therefore, the object file needs to be opened in AE and exported to ogf, and then imported into MS3D.
This will reset the material settings. To load them, you need to import the original object into the scene.
After editing, the subsequent export to object format will save the material settings automatically.
Some models may be too large and may not import correctly and will need to be handled in 3DSMAX or Maya.
Importing dynamic object models in object format is NOT supported.
11.05
- when importing a PM model, the importer offers to convert it into a version for CN/ZP and vice versa. To transfer, all that remains is to smooth the model (if necessary) and export to object.
- when importing, information about the model (userdata, paths to textures, shaders, materials) is written in the comments of the model elements.
- added X-Ray Model Information plugin for the Tools menu. Writes information about the imported model to the log and opens the log file xrayMS3DInfo.log
- when exporting an NPC model, the bones are automatically scattered across bones partitions.
- when exporting, the file extension is added automatically, in accordance with the selected file type filter (object, skl).
