Spark Rising is a build and battle sandbox game. Build fortresses, defenses, and an army to battle against an invasion of mechs, aliens, zombies, dinos... oh the madness!
As we attempt to keep up our commitment to make more behind the scenes videos of our production efforts for Spark Rising, here are some videos that gives you a glimpse at how we came up with the new Conquest mode, which we launched freely as a prototype demo we call a "gaiden."
This first video has game designer CPaz talking about the different elements that make up Conquest mode and how we built this prototype demo to see if people would enjoy a gameplay loop around battling enemies as you hop from one location to the next.
This second video functions as a post mortem to Gaiden 4: Conquest, and serves up some upcoming plans. Big changes are coming to the game engine, as we refactor things to address user's most interesting suggestions, from increasing the size of battle maps, and introducing more dynamic battle scenarios.
