Also Mitch the Spacebit artist has finished the character model, it includes idle, walk, sprint, shoot, swing, swim idle, swimming and some other animations next he will be working on creating the player heads with unique hair styles.

Somehow this pic looks like a step back. The terrain doesn't tile at all anymore, the textures are separated too harshly n all.

its not running in Spacebit yet, this is a separate program that only creates and opens the random maps, and lets u move around the map.

When its running inside Spacebit it will be exactly like before graphics wise.

ill keep you updated though as i make progress as often as possible.

Random enviroment wise i still have more progress need to be made on the algorithm

Oh so this is is just an overview in the editor. Hmm yeah I thought it was another change of the design, cause you had quite a lot of those until now o.o

:) well it is a change in design how you can go underground now before it was 1 layer like a normal 2d game but now its more like a 3d environment, the core design and idea of the game wont change. the only changes most the time will be improvements with graphics, improvements to code, and anything that could enhance the game play experience which is why it is now layered 7 times. Monsters will not spawn on the surface anymore they only spawn in caves underground and materials like iron, copper, gold are all in caves they are not on the surface anymore. it will bring more of an adventure side to Spacebit i believe

Hey guys sorry i haven't updated as much as i should i have been really busy lately but i have a good reason, my wedding on march has been taking up most of my time but i have had time now and then to keep progress moving. Last time i mentioned a layered world with 7 layers in total this means you can build in caves fight monsters in caves build homes you can walk in etc.

Here is a working demo i made i still need to change collision, but this loads a (1500 x 1500) x 7 map which is exactly 15,750,000 tiles, it saves and creates these random maps in around 5 seconds give or take, the maps also save all data in a wld file, in other words its allot better then before.
