Hi people!

Long time no speak, huh? We released Segatakai back in 2013 and have since been working slowly towards new stuff. There are two reasons why I am writing this article right now, first of all, I have released a Post-Mortem Development Analysis for Segatakai on YouTube! If you are interested in the development of the game, you can check out Part 1 and Part 2 right here!

The videos go into a lot of detail about how we planned Segatakai, and what the design process was like. There are also links to the design documents and some extra little fun videos that were the only things that we could find from the development times.

I also uploaded a new package of the game. If you downloaded the game before, you probably remember how weird the installation was. You had to run an installer, not run the game when the installer ended, copy the Launcher files, and then finally run the game. Well, we took away the installation, so now you should be able to just extract the game files to some folder on your computer and run the game without any trouble. If you have any errors, read the README.txt file, as it explains how to install the game requirements which your computer might not have installed. You can download it right here:

Segatakai v1.1.2 - No installation required! (Windows)

Old package with the installer:

Segatakai v1.1.2 - Read TXT File! (Windows)

The game is also available now on itch.io, you can use their app to download and launch the game if you are looking for a more convenient and straight forward way to access it:

If you are interested in our future games, I will be starting a weekly Development Diary series for my next game (unfortunately this project does not feature Daniel, it's a solo effort) over at my YouTube Channel: Infernyll on YouTube. The diaries should start popping out next week if all goes well! There are already some videos where I discuss the project in very broad, vague terms, but the actual announcement will come next week.

I also have a Patreon, so if you like what I've done and have been doing, that is the most direct way to support me and allow me to continue making games, you can find it here:

And finally, I have a lot of content about Segatakai up on my website, if you want to check it out, you can click here to do so!

And that's it! I would like to thank everyone who downloaded and played Segatakai! It made the rounds a whole lot more than what we expected when we released it, as at the time the Slender-madness was dying. We couldn't be happier with how it went. Hopefully, I will be able to work on another project together with Daniel Francisco, but until then, I hope you also enjoy my solo efforts.

See you in the next game!

Hello my friend. Congratulations, your game looks amazing, I will for sure try it! I am also a UDK developer (@udkultimate), and I want to invite you to take a look at my new upcoming game, made in UDK (a modified version which exports the game for PC, PS3 and Xbox360):

The game had a great starting atmosphere buildup. I was slightly concerned when I saw the "collect x pages and avoid y monster" gimmick as I've seen way too many terrible, bad, and just dumb games using the same method.
Walking around for a bit was fine, 4 pages and suddenly I was immediately disappointed and just uninstalled just as fast when I saw the slenderman.

It wasn't scary. It wasn't a shock. It was more of a feeling of getting ****** off at seeing the generic overused flagship figure of the theme.

This game could have been so much more.

I'm sorry, what part of "Slender-type" in the game description (this exact page) and "Slender's aggressiveness" on the game launcher did you not understand? I see this complaint a lot for this game and I just cannot understand it. The developers state upfront it's a slender game, which is a very popular project to tackle when you are learning how to develop games (especially if you want to make horror games in the future). With that said, I agree that the slender games have run its course, but this game is still the best of the bunch. The atmosphere is pretty spot on, the only complaint I would have about it is it is a bit rough around the edges (normal for a first project), and well, it's slenderman (again). So yeah, I agree with this comment when you say that slenderman has become stale, but for the life of me I cannot understand how you were disappointed since it's stated upfront.

I have played this a few times and even though it creeps me out, I find it quite fascinating! Fun and pretty! Except for Slender! He is creepy and mean! ;_______;

I also uploaded one of my adventures on YouTube! Youtu.be
Hope you enjoy it! ^______^

We're still waiting on Desura to figure out what is wrong and how to proceed with the fix... Meanwhile, remember you can download the version on IndieDB.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey all! I recently recorded my own experience with this brilliant game for my personal Youtube Channel. Indemonai, you really got me on this one. I had a blast! ;) You can find the link to my playthrough on my channel over here:

Hope you enjoy it! I certainly did playing it. And if there is a lot of interest, I'll be doing much more. I barely scratched the surface on this playthrough and really shot myself in the foot at the end. ^.^

"Built with UDK has stopped working" here!

this games looks spectacular, until i realized it runs with UDK, Im not trying to be rude or anything but UDK seems to be the only engine that has a 100% crash rate, but i don't blame u in any way. This happens to every single game associated with UDK. "UDK has stopped responding and closed" . I really don't know whats up with it but seriously, with a game looking this nice and an engine that doesnt even work, it's kind of disappointing. I know it's hard to manage something like UDK, but come on, it should at least be tested exceptionally to ensure a proper function for it. but after every single game that didnt work due to UDK, i have lost all reliability for it, but im sure this game deserves well over 8.8 for a rating.

Hey, thanks for the kind words. The crashing is only happening through the Desura platform, so we're thinking it's something they might have changed on their end, since the release on IndieDB is functional.

We also never had those kinds of problems with UDK games, might have something to do with incompatibility with some of your hardware or software if that's happening with a lot of UDK games on your machine.

In my opinion it's a really good engine.
