I am very pleased to announce Sands of Myth - a single player PC downloadable game now in production.
The game is set in ancient Egypt where you play as a young woman. A curse of the Gods has made your entire family sick and they will all soon die. To prevent this you must travel to the grave of an old Pharaoh where you must find a mythical artefact that is said to cure all who touches it. You know the grave will be guarded but you can't possibly imagine by what...
At the moment work is being focused on releasing a three level demo but you can already have a look at some nice media including a short in-game video clip.

Maybe you want to put a little more clothing on the herowin too... her "shirt" is awfully low cut compared to what you'd think she'd be wearing.

Yeps, the model are extremely nice - that's why I'm using them. And no HappyFriar, the women won't be getting more clothes :) They are just fine the way they are now and close enough for how the Egyptians themselves depicted their stories: Imagecache2.allposters.com

May I ask which period this game is set in? Archaic, Early, Middle, Late, Alexander/Ptolemy Era or The Roman Occupation Era- the reason I ask is because the costumes look a bit like the Late Period to almost the Ptolemy Greek era. Keep in mind that each period changed significantly in style.
I'm a bit of a fan of Egypt :D.
I guess you are more of an expert than I am :) The game is not based on any true Egyptian legend, myth or time period since I am aiming for a story I can develop on my own to fit the game. My focus is to bring the elements into an exciting conflict. If I can succeed in this is still impossible to tell but it is my goal :)
I am thinking about bringing a single level demo out soon, instead of going directly for a three level demo, and I hope this will show some of the potential.
Cool, so if anyone asks just say its mythical :D that way we know you're basing it on Egyptian myth rather than historic fact.
Most FPSC games look like crap, this is the only one I've seen with this quality...
