Conquer, rule and manipulate the Roman Empire with the ultimate goal of being declared as the "Imperator" of Rome. Set in a time when the mighty Roman Empire emerged to conquer the known world against powerful enemies, when gladiators fought to a bloody death in the Coliseum; when Spartacus defied the might of the empire; when Hannibal led his invincible army and his war elephants across the Alps to strike fear into the very heart of Rome itself; and when Julius Caesar finally smashed the Barbarian Gauls. This was a time of brutal confrontation between civilisation and barbarism, and of civil war as the ancient world's only superpower turned on itself.

Description

*NOTE* The file uploaded Sep 8, 2015 fixes the save game crash. Return of Atlantis is a modification for Rome: Total War 1.5 which adds a vanilla-esque faction of Atlantis to the game. Little to nothing else about the original game has been changed, thus preserving the classic experience that is Rome: Total War.

I got the mod into the game and it worked, but every time I tried to end the turn it would crash, I don't know if I got a file wrong or what.

Anybody having the issue - I fixed it. Replace the Atlantis version of the descr_names file with the one from the original Rome Total War. Open it. Go to the Numidian section. Remove all original numidian names. Go up to the greek_cities section. Copy male and female names (without the "of Athens," "of Sparta" modifiers) and paste them into the Numidian section. Save. Replace the Atlantis version of the names.txt file with the one from the original Rome Total War. If done correctly without any messiness, the game should be able to save. Cheers.

Okay, so I downloaded this mod, but when I went use a fire siphon in a custom battle, it told me it was a siege tower and wouldn't let me attack. Does it work in the campaign, or should I save my money and get archers or katapelts?

I have a problem with the install. I install the folder, move it to the Steam/steamapps/common/Rome Total War folder. I then go to Steam, change the Launch Instruction to -mod:atlantis. Launch the game, and Atlantis is not there. Do I need to "unlock" them by winning as Rome, or did something go wrong in the install?
