Rogue's Tale is a single player turn-based dungeon crawling game. The game takes place in a place called Frostmourn Keep and its underlying dungeons located in the World's End Mountains. The goal is to overthrow the current king of the Frostmourn Keep and become the new king. A demo version and game guide can be found on the homepage. Key features: - Classless character building where you can choose to be the kind of rogue you want. - Seemingly unfair, untimely and unforgiving deaths which are also permanent. - Ways to counter these deaths by learning the game mechanics. - Random dungeons and encounters. - 24 talents to build your character with. - 30 spells to build your character even further. - 30 heritages that make your next character stronger. - 30 challenges to complete once you get the hang of the game.

After installing the latest patch, I can't get the game to load. It launches a small window, immediately minimizes it (before I can read or see anything) and nothing happens after that. I've attempted to verify the files, uninstall and reinstall. Remove the entire folder after uninstall, then reinstall. Restart, uninstall, restart, install and then run ... etc, all with the same result. I'd been playing on the previous build for a few weeks without issue. Edit: After browsing to the rogues-tale directory under desura, I can use the executable to start the game and the launcher, not sure what's up, but the game works fine from there. i have the same problem, the small desura window that says preparing opens and closes really fast and then nothing. thnx kowitz1 now i can at least play the game, i just tried right click and create desktop shortcut and that didnt work, without taking a closer look on the shortcut i thought it would create a shortcut to the exe file not to start the game through desura |

Yes, there's an error with the version that the Desura app uses that will hopefully get fixed at some point. Until then it can be fixed by downloading this file Rogue.epixx.org and copying it over the existing one in C:\Program Files (x86)\Desura\Common\rogues-tale\rt\lib If that does not work, please use the standalone version until it is fixed (this is something I cannot fix).
