Rogue's Tale is a single player turn-based dungeon crawling game. The game takes place in a place called Frostmourn Keep and its underlying dungeons located in the World's End Mountains. The goal is to overthrow the current king of the Frostmourn Keep and become the new king. A demo version and game guide can be found on the homepage. Key features: - Classless character building where you can choose to be the kind of rogue you want. - Seemingly unfair, untimely and unforgiving deaths which are also permanent. - Ways to counter these deaths by learning the game mechanics. - Random dungeons and encounters. - 24 talents to build your character with. - 30 spells to build your character even further. - 30 heritages that make your next character stronger. - 30 challenges to complete once you get the hang of the game.

Something has gone wrong or something prevents you from saving the file. If you have the demo version and it doesn't work when you run it as admin, then you probably have to delete your_username.herodata located under the users folder which is located either in the game's installation folder or under my documents depending how the game is run / which version it is.

I don't know which version you have but the demo version has to be run as administrator if it is installed under program files in Windows Vista, 7 or 8 and you haven't disabled the UAC thingy (or you can add -windows command line parameter on the shortcut and then it stores the files under my documents and then it works without admin rights).

thanks for the answer.
No, I have bought the game so it should be the latest version.

Well, it works when I create a new User, but all my progress was lost (heritages). Which is a bit annoying.

Hmm okay, you can try to get your heritages working by deleting or renaming the file that holds the character data and then start a new character.

The file can be found under "your_windows_username\My Documents\Rogue's Tale\users\your_profile_name.herodata"
