Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. RF:G has be updated by the devs to INCLUDE the Reconstructor in SP, without mods! Great News! Less-great news: It's an endgame toy now, AND the existing Reconstructor mods no longer work. So if you want to play the story with it, like you could with the mod, you're out of luck. Remarkably, Hazard's "Free Upgrades" mod will now activate this weapon, so I copied that file and cut out everything BUT the tags that pertain to the Reconstructor, and it works! Now you can play the story with this awesome toy, rebuilding things you broke by accident, repairing the bases the bad guys damage in their attacks, etc, without ruining balance by using all the advanced toys!
