Red Alert 2: Apocalypse Rising brings the exciting storyline and epic clashes from the classic Westwood Studios game, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 to realm of first person shooters, with a twist. We've remained loyal to the style and feel of the 2000 classic, while integrating content from its expansion Yuri's Revenge with a bit of updated history to add to the mix. Built off the W3D engine Westwood Studios built for classics such as Earth & Beyond and Command & Conquer: Renegade finished up in 2001, we help bring the fight to you as you play out your role as any one of a number of infantry classes participating in team-based combat that often involves land, sea, and air combined-arms clashes that just don't happen in any other game. Oh, and did we mention it's FREE?

That's right! Many of you might know, but just incase you missed it: Yeah, there you have it folks, we've decided to team up with the guys over at Apocalypse Rising--a fellow Red alert inspired mod for the Renegade engine. Hopefully having both projects under the same room will help us

Yeah, there you have it folks, we've decided to team up with the guys over at Apocalypse Rising--a fellow Red alert inspired mod for the Renegade engine. Hopefully having both projects under the same room will help us out in developing all things Allied and Soviet. As you might remember, we recently added Urimas to our roster; he's one of their guys too, and several forum members and testers including One Winged Angel are actually testers and staff for AR. OWA's actually one of the leaders, fancy that!

Suffice to say that if you spot a bunch of random purple names floating around, it's Apocalypse Rising guys and not some of Operative Purple's fellow secret agents. I had to fix a few problems with the board that resulted when Saberhawk went emo and deleted the forum folder a few months back (it was failing to properly generated cached files to display and thus wasn't showing certain changes made to the board skin) but now things are good and there are no problems to report; your rank display is fine and all that jazz, no worries there ^_-

Anyways, welcome Cfehunter, OWA, and all their guys to the forums! They lost their hosting over at C&C Source recently so we restarted (at a rapid pace) old talks of joining up. How will the staff distribution work out? Well we'll have to see, a couple members already double-dip on their duties. Largely I think the two teams won't have too much intermixing of work from one side to the other but we're pretty much here to help; you might see a bridge in APB and then recognize it again when it shows up on an AR map though.

RA2:AR blogs will also be posted here now, and thus appear on out front page. When we bother with a full site update, we'll probably have a Soviet-themed dual-project homepage. I think it'd be cool to have our unit pages cross-reference each other and such, but we'll see.
