You will be able to experience, first hand, what it feels like to fill the boots of an Allied GI battling the communist might of the Soviet Union, or a Soviet Conscript vowing to take back what was lost to the Allies during the first great war. Classic units return such as the versatile Allied IFV to the mighty Soviet Apocalypse Assault Tank to the gargantuan Allied Aircraft Carrier to the mad Giant Squids. This game features all of the units and structures for the Allied and Soviet sides from both RA2 and the Yuri's Revenge Expansion. The Apocalypse is Rising Commander. Are you prepared for it? The only thing I can think of that would make this better...Yuri's forces as a playable faction. I realize that only two teams can be placed on a single map with the w3d engine, though i'm curious, would it be possible to have maps that are not only Soviets vs Allies but also maps where it's Soviets vs Yuri or Allies vs Yuri? :/

It would be fairly tricky to get all of Yuri's units behaving correctly in the FPS perspective, but it could be done.
The problem is that because this project is run by volunteers, we don't have enough people helping out to make all of the assets. We're taking ages just to get Allies and Soviets implemented let alone Yuri.
It could be a slight possibility for the future if we continue to grow and recruit a lot more talented artists, but for now we're focusing on Allies and Soviets.

I have a question and I apologies if this question has been answered before but, In terms of gameplay will ApocRising be mostly similar to Renegade or will it go beyond it being an RTS-FPS hybrid like Natural Selection?

I don't know if it would be an extreme pain in the *** to code proper base building but it would be fun where at the beginning of the match one player be the commander and build base while other players wait, scout, harass or etc etc while waiting for tech to unlock. If its really hard to code or you will still stick to the original gameplay then I don't mind. As I was not suggesting but was just curious.

We're planning on some RTS style mechanics for when it comes to rebuilding structures, but proper base building would be extremely hard to implement on this engine, so we are focusing on making a variation of the Renegade style gameplay that will hopefully prove to be fast, frantic and above all, fun.
We feel that Renegade's C&C game mode is unappreciated in these modern times, so we're aiming to push the game-mode forward a little to make it a fun for players to experience in today's gaming climate.
