Pioneer is a space adventure game set in the Milky Way galaxy at the turn of the 31st century. The game is open-ended, and you are free to explore the millions of starsystems in the game. You can land on planets, slingshot past gas giants, and burn yourself to a crisp flying between binary star systems. You can try you hand at piracy, make your fortune trading between systems, or do missions for the various factions fighting for power, freedom or self-determination.

Have you tried updating your video drivers? If so and the problem remains, you may have found a bug. It might be useful taking a look on Github.com to see if anyone else is having the similar issue. If you don't see it, then report it there as the devs will see it right away.

If you downloaded from here, I only upload the Windows version to ModDB. If your looking for the Linux version go to Pioneer's own site: Pioneerspacesim.net

If you already have the Linux version you could try the Pioneer Dev forum. Here is a link for that: Pioneerspacesim.net

It's an amazing game for me as long I stay clear of Sol for the time being.

Whenever I get near or start in the Sol system the game crashes on me. My stderr.txt says "libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile" and I believe it has to do with the heightmaps for Earth and Moon. I'm on Win 7 64-bit.

Hi Eegah. This is a known issue that the devs are looking into. As soon as they solve it I will upload a new build. I know that doesn't help you in the meantime, but I suggest you try one of the older builds for now. Unfortunately these things can happen from time to time with a game in Alpha. Thats one of the reasons why I leave all the previous builds available on here, just in case. ;)
