This video provides a basic overview of what map parts are and how they are constructed in the Phoenix USC map editor. The map editor uses parts that are at their core are just 2D images, but once loaded into the editor they can be defined with collision and other map part aspects. Here I show how to add collision to a part and adjust part settings for the map. If you have not seen the first map editor video you can view it here.
The map editor is very easy to use and designed with the WYSIWYG concept making map design fast, simple and fun. Look for map editor video 3 which will discuss lights, shadows and more coming soon.
