Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Overgrowth also benefits from Wolfire's brand new Phoenix Engine which has been built from the ground up to allow the use of cutting edge graphics, animation, and physics. Add to these exciting features Overgrowth’s realistic artificial intelligence and streamlined control system and the result is an astoundingly immersive experience.

Post news Report RSS Overgrowth Art Video #3 (new timelapse + monoliths)

This week I continued to work on the "cat city" set, so I have some new buildings to show off. I also talk a little about the strange monoliths that are present in the game.

I'm going to be looking at lot at photos of minerals and modern ruins for reference on the "crete" models. Any other suggestions on good reference images would be great!

The black elements within the structures need textures too. They look like plastic inlays at the moment. Although I know that black always catches a strong volume of light which makes it difficult to give it depth, on your buildings black surfaces look flat and inhomogenous in contrast to the brighter surfaces.

I like the concept of these monolithes. It gives the whole world a mysterious and unique flair.

Once I saw something like this in a videogame, as "cutscenes" between missions. It looked really awesome, as does your work.

Dude WTF! You have too much talent, and you make the concept art look too simple... you inspire me to to get a tablet and fling my mouse around the screen but I don't think I will achieve the same result.
