The single player campaign of this game takes place in 2020, as a nuclear threat is growing in Iran. The US army is still fighting the war on terror in Afghanistan and Pakistan. But with evidence that Iran is in planning a nuclear strike on the West, the United States invades. This game's single player campaign puts you in the shoes of an army sergeant redeployed from Pakistan to be part of the invading force for Operation Red Storm. With the US army's resources strained by two wars, victory seems impossible. The campaign puts you in the shoes of an army private who has been moved from Afghanistan to Russia as part of the invasion. The campaign features varied gameplay from regular infantry missions, to paratrooper insertions to Apache helicopter gunner sequences. The Multiplayer segment of this game is action packed with 32 player online battles. The maps vary from the snowy forests of Russia to the searing hot deserts of Afghanistan. Every map has a fully destructible environment.

Sounds interesting and it's good that you decided to go with Iran because Russians have been the bad guys in too many games.
you might want to rethink that story a little bit. in the actual world, Russia has several thousand nuclear weapons, and you don't see the US armed forces attacking them, just for having them.

After discussing both comments and taking into account actual threats today, we have decided to replace Russia with Iran, because this has not been done in a game before, whereas Russia has been portrayed in CoD4, CoD6, CoD7, BFBC, and BFBC2.
