It's just the "awesome" directx 7 blood. The game use Directx 7, or 9. 9 have much better graphics, and much better blood. For my computer it dont works, and it seems i'm not the only one. Directx9 on this game is screwed up.
This was taken back in the late beta days, so I don't remember much about it anymore. Aside from some horrible lag during hilly battles, I've not had any trouble with the latest releases.
