That might mean that water would dim light less, because you would reach abyssal depths REALLY fast.
Well this seems like an actual continent,quite intresting..Yet again another reason where i was right about being excited for the new biome code..From what i've gathered i have to say this is so far the BIGGEST update to come in minecraft history,minecraft hasn't just beaten every single sandbox game,now it's starting to attack the RPG land,slowly bethesda is gonna loose it's RPG pro touch because of mojang..Is it gonna be scrolls or minecraft to do it?Who knows..All i know is that minecraft IS the ultimate sandboxer,Frictional games are the masters of horror,valve are the masters of great humor and story line!
You probably haven't seen any other games besides minecraft, it is a good game, but there are lots of other games that ARE better in SOME aspects, for example Garrys mod , upcoming Skyrim from bethesda which will be an epicness in rpg.. :/

When it comes to playing RPG's i get bored with bethesda,somehow i don't enjoy it...If it was blizzard i would be amazed,it's not that i haven't played other games,i just see that garry's mod is no longer the one to control the sandbox paradise,nor is it the sims series..Things have changed,minecraft is now on the throne of sandbox..What i await now is diablo 3,half life 3 and Heavy rain 2...
You really aren't in a position to say how Minecraft is better then GMOD if you think Half life 3 is coming out IMO.

I'm pretty different from most gamers..Some are crazy about COD..Me...i like to be ballanced..I play from new to old games no prob..I can play minecraft,i can play half life 3,it doesn't matter..I'm a big fan of the half-life series,a big fan of the diablo series,a follower of minecraft,a follower of frictional games,someone who hates the CoD games..No one can change that..

Well thats not really different from most people... I like most people play both new and old games. I'm a fan of Diablo 2, I loved Half-Life (not so much hl2), I'm a big fan of Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Thief games and I play alot of new games like Halo Reach, Gears of War, Dead Space. I've played all of the games Frictional has made so far, I've loved Max Payne, and No One Lives Forever. As you can see there are alot of gamers that are fans of both new and old games, in other words play the Classics and the new big name titles that come out. And Minecraft while its basically like Lego on the computer, is cute and user friendly and addictive, but isn't as innovative as you may think (heard of Dwarf Fortress, Infinity Miner and Dungeon Keeper?). And RPG wise Minecraft is pretty poor... Bethesda rules the RPG crowd.
heh half life 3 is also a game im waiting, but i wouldn't want to say that minecraft is in the throne, it sure is very, very innovative and creative but there are games that surpass it in some aspects, and generally i don't title games like "king of all sandboxes" or whatever, each game has its flaws and advantages...

Deja vu i guess..This happened before,and i didn't say it might be minecraft..What i know is that mojang has the potential to make amazing games,and the fact that i mention other games means that i don't play just minecraft,why do you people take things as if it's the end of the world and we gotta start a new flamewar..Now i'm pretty sure kizzy will get ****** and just block me because i try to show my thoughts..Thanks again moddb karma!Also thanks again community,sometimes you're really good when people try and showcase their opinions!

how is minecraft creative and innovative?? look at infinity miner and minecraft both exactly the same, and infinity miner was first of its kind and very unique and innovative and it was released like 10 years ago, minecraft is a meer copy based of infinity miner, you should get your facts right.

Looks to me like coast lines will need their own biome to supplement this, I don't think deserts belong in the middle of a body of water unless they can convey a tropical appearance.

What are the value of each color, also if you are to beat the other Sandbox games you will have to put some effort on nice game play and graphics, because it is kinda cheap doing in the way you guys do. No the mean and judge because I like minecraft and you guys.

I see a lot of potential for a thriving ocean biome (sharks, fish, whales, crabs, etc.) We need water to dim less, and a way to operate efficiently underwater (submarines, scuba suits, etc.)
