Description
This save has been converted from one of the worlds currently on my server, I feel that servers with unique worlds shouldn't be selfish and keep them all to themselves so If I manage to generate any other unique or interesting worlds I might add them here too depending on the reaction I get from the community here. The world has a limited distance before it returns to normal minecraft generation (this is out of my control sadly), when moving the map to single player the script used to generate the land is no longer active and as far as I know there hasn't been a single player version released. I built the floating castle in the image as a safe place to start off in that world (a custom shaped portal is in the center of the room on my server which has been removed here as it would be useless without the appropriate software). I may continue to upload more verions of this world if enough people like it, as it will be expanded on the server quite a bit.
I almost forgot to add for those who don't know how to install worlds go here is a quick guide for Windows7 (google it for any other system).
1. Open the following folder "C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves"
2. Copy or move the downloaded archive to that folder
3a. (Using WinRar) Right-click and choose "extract to \paradise"
3b. (Alternative rar extractor) Unpack the contents of the archive into an empty folder in the saves directory.
If you don't understand this then just use google to find a better guide.
If you dont see the appdata folder then you need to change your folder options to show hidden folders. (You can also type "
P;PDATA%" in the address bar)

Yup texture pack lol, its my own, the base of it is Glimmar's, its for my server and is yet unreleased as I'd rather finish making every texture my own instead of using Glimmars. Might up it to moddb when its finished, depends if people are interested in it.
Absolutely. It'd be nice to try and find a world seed that produces a similar effect also.
Wow I was totally not expecting this kind of feedback lol, will definately keep releasing updates (not little ones, just big ones) on here :) I have already built more to cover the walls around this castle and a bridge from the floating castle to the wall on all 4 sides so maybe a 2.0 release after I do a quick fly around the world to expand the distance it renders like this (so nobody can complain there isnt enough to explore).
I do use a flying mod when on this world to help with the building obviously, no invedit though, I have worlds specificly for resource mining for that ;)
I will upload some of my other worlds from the server if they are unique like this one.
oh sorry for the double comment but I forgot to add that there is a VERY high amount of lava spouts in some areas, mostly pouring out from the walls so watch out for that. I did this to make it a bit brighter and not so much blindness.

I uploaded it mostly for the scenery, I'm only putting the 'house', as you call it, in because that happens to be whats in it on my server, you will be guaranteed never to get a world even similar to this using normal seed generation and thought people might be interested in that and apparently by the rest of the comments I was right lol
If this was my generated map, I'd be too scared to do anything, lest I destroy the awesomeness (>O.O<)
Haha, yeah I can generate this same(ish) landscape anytime using the script I used so thats not a problem, I will probably release an untouched landscape thats been explored a bit for people to do whatever they want with.

well yeah it would provide hours of entertainment but i like more maps like this :) it's still quite breathtaking
I'm working on generating a world based on the idea of the Aether, anyone interested in that?
For those who dont know what the Aether is its like the opposite of the Nether, heaven instead of hell, consisting of small floating islands everywhere with no bottom (fall off and you fall into the void and die). I'm having trouble with the small islands bit though (oddly not the removal of the bottom of the ground(the unbreakable stuff).
I'll keep an eye on these comments so let me know if theres any specefic style worlds you would like to see?

Isn't it a level generating mod that makes landscapes like this? Or is this something different here?
Its using the mod for minecraft servers based on the "bukkit" software, its just the first one I found really, not sure if there's more but this one seems like it would be the best, its as simple as editing a properties file changing true or false and numbers to get different results. Amazing some of the things you can do, I changed a - number to a + number and it went from floating islands to solid world with pockets of air :S

If you think thats the seed then you are pretty far off, considering this cant be done with minecrafts normal generation.

wtf? i downloaded this map and installed it and i spawn in a block under water and when i get out i cant find anything >:[
You must be the only one then, sorry, maybe try again, might have been corrupted.
For anyone still interested I will be making a few more maps when I get internet up and running in my own house. Im hoping to have my new maps done by then, the new updates to minecraft are making world design a little bit more fascinating so I might wait until after we see 1.8.
