Men of War: Assault Squad features a completely new cooperative skirmish game mode with access to five different nations (Russia, Germany, USA, Commonwealth and, for the first time ever in the Men of War series, Japan) as well as increased realism and accessibility.
Description
This mod is intended to bring some variety to the Skirmish Maps in Assault Squad. The spawn lists for each map are adjusted to not only differentiate between the various maps but to also give a more historically accurate selection of units for both the player and the AI opposition with each one. To install simply extract the files into the /Mod directory with Assault Squad. Activate it as normal for any mod.

Hey! A really nice mod :D If/when you are working on the German campaign I would LOVE to see some Jagdtigers/King tigers :D
Right now I'm looking at the British campaign. I will be changing the time/place (intro-wise) of at least one of their missions as Battleaxe is simply too early in the war for the models available.

New version up with the first change to the British Campaign. This required a lot more changes than the US ones so it took a while longer.
Convincing all of those German guys to change was time consuming, for one, but eventually they figured out that khakis are better in the desert.
Moved it from Operation Battleaxe (1941) to The Second Battle of El Alamein (Fall 1942) since there just were not enough vehicle options otherwise.
I love what you did here. despite the small changes of the types of units that can be spawned, it definitely gave me a refreshing gameplay experience. I especially liked the el elemein one with valentine tanks and the lovely m4a3e8 in the ardennes map.
when could we expect changes for other maps?
I'm trying to figure out how to handle the other two British maps. I kinda want to try and change the third one to have a bunch of infantry start surrounded and you have to fight to them.
The Ardennes map will probably see a further change to the German spawn tables. The Panzer III is a bit outdated at this point and they should likely be fielding mostly IV's and V's. King Tigers are a possibility too as a replacement for the Tiger. Since the US vehicles all have either 76mm guns or the 90mm, it's not as challenging to go up against III's and early IV's.
Having problems down loading this, which is a damper, watched the advert six times now on download mirror link, really looking forward to playing it will try again tomorrow.

hey is this the addon that allow me to fight other nation i like??is there any mod or addon that allow me to setup a game i like?for example i wanna try to use japan vs germany..rather than fixed japan vs commonwealth and soviet all the time..i hope its like COH, where we can set freely faction u wanna use ;D.if anyone know which mod or how, feel free to personal msg me . thanks
I knew someone would get round to doing this mod. I laughed then cried when I saw what they had done with the Skirmish in AS, I don't think they even bothered in any way to reference history and I'd have done this myself if I hadn't been so angry and depressed about it. I'm glad someones trying to fix it and it seems to be a good job too.
Now if only someone could widen the maps aswell. haha.
If this turns out great, maybe I will.

omg, love this mod. Was confusing at first cause nothing looked changed while playing as Americans. Please, work on this. I'm sure there are a lot more things that need changing. Maybe you could put in the old Karl-Gerät Mortar for us Super-heavy vehicle fans x3
