A horrific plague breaks out and mobs of zombies are roaming throughout the tri-state area, killing people at random. You play Jack, a simple farmer who must rise beyond fear, and battle your way through hordes of terrifying undead who are bent on spreading the zombie plague. You encounter a mysterious man named Mr. Kaufman who has established Fiddler's Green, a fortified city, which holds the last of the living. He has offered you a special job, with an exceptional reward. An offer too good to turn down, but will you live long enough to reap the rewards? Based on the George A. Romero film, Land of the Dead, this intense 3D zombie experience will grip and terrify you like none other.

This is NOT an official patch, but it will not break net-game compatibility, and I've personally been using it for over 6 months without any problems. Technical Description: This quick little patch will remove the opening movies, as well as allowing you to launch directly to a server from the command line. Layman's Description: Keeps the startup movies from playing, and allows you to use ALL of X-Fire's features within the game, as long as you patch the xfire_games.ini file. Highly recommended. Since X-Fire forces this file to be replaced whenever they do an update, I keep a backup copy of the patched one in my XFire folder, and I copy over the one they ship every couple weeks. Works out great! (Not quite as great as if the guys at X-Fire would recognise it, but oh well)
