A horrific plague breaks out and mobs of zombies are roaming throughout the tri-state area, killing people at random. You play Jack, a simple farmer who must rise beyond fear, and battle your way through hordes of terrifying undead who are bent on spreading the zombie plague. You encounter a mysterious man named Mr. Kaufman who has established Fiddler's Green, a fortified city, which holds the last of the living. He has offered you a special job, with an exceptional reward. An offer too good to turn down, but will you live long enough to reap the rewards? Based on the George A. Romero film, Land of the Dead, this intense 3D zombie experience will grip and terrify you like none other.

It certainly has it's rough spots in level design and coding, and at times, it almost feels unfinished.

But this is no left 4 dead. There are no friends, no running zombies and no stashes of ammo at every corner. LotD is a very sincere surival horror game, with zombies literally crawling out of the woodwork with, at times, not enough ammo to dispatch them all.

It's tense and and at times, actually very creepy (I actually had to build up courage to go through the cornfield at the beginning of the game), but this is no Halo and, like I said, no Left 4 Dead, so don't expect top notch quality.

But those who can overlook flaws in graphics and even coding should give this a gander, it's a blast :)

The campaign is OK to go through a couple times but then it gets tedious. The biggest insult is that the shotgun has a low range and the spread is high, making it almost useless.

Multiplayer felt tacked on and like an afterthought, despite being somewhat playable.

I wouldn't play this except for a good laugh with friends, get a better zombie game than this.

A nice game for those who like glitches and crazy ai.
My favorite weapon in the game is the kungfu fists.
