KF-Corruption is a multi-layered sci-fi map for Tripwire Interactive's Survival Coop Killing Floor. It uses a narrow, tense setting in a surreal setting using both new and old content. It also features new music experienced mid- to lategame, if you can make it until then. Most matches play out very chaotic due to visibility and layout, and on higher difficulties you will want a tallented team to surround you.
In a united effort, international companies built this model city of the future. But as with all companies of today, corruption is their invisible crime. After the outbreak, it has become clear the the funds have also been used for something... else. In a matter of days, the city was overrun. Ironically, the Horzine Headquarters is remaining the only save building in the city. Hold it until help arrives.
KF-Corruption is fully functional map with everything set up. Could 've added a few more dirty patches and blood, but I think it turned out quite nicely. I wanted to break from the usual Killing Floor styles and used one that I mostly used for the old UT games. Most of the architecture is made up by BSP, only occasionally used a mesh. I did use the UE2.5's new color correction but didn't use fogging here, so visibility can be far in certain places, for gameplay reasons I limited them to a few narrow passages, however.
The credits list is long due to the myriad of talented texture artists whose textures where used in this mapping project, so was a very nice music track by the talented Xenogenocide (see his profile on newgrounds) who gave me permission to use Dependency 2010 here. Also thanks to all the betatesters for their great work, without them this map could still be very glitchy which hopefully is not the case anymore.
Epicness
looks pretty nice gj.
Outstanding map; have played it several times and found it to excel both at atmosphere/aesthetics and gameplay
